Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. (in the following “Lamborghini) is an affiliate of Audi AG (AG is the German acronym for “Aktiengesellschaft”: stock corporation), which is an affiliate of the second largest car manufacturer worldwide, Volkswagen AG. Lamborghini has a history in car making for almost 50 years now: Lamborghini has been founded 1963 in SantʹAgata Bolognese⁄Italy where its registered office and principal place of business is still located. Since its foundation as Automobili Ferruccio Lamborghini S.p.A on May 7, 1963 Lamborghini produces exclusive sports cars, and participated in Formula 1 races from 1989 till 1993. The duration of the company is not restricted to a certain period, and will be carried on in the future. Since its foundation the object of the company is the development, production, marketing and sale of exclusive sports cars. Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. is applying for the .LAMBORGHINI top-level domain with the following mission and purpose: The .LAMBORGHINI top-level domain has the MISSION to serve the needs of its community and to benefit its community in terms of (a) differentiating, protecting and expanding its brand, (b) promoting its brand to the public and stakeholders, and (c) creating added value for its brand by enhanced consumer trust and reliability in the digital space. The .LAMBORGHINI top-level domain shall support the Lamborghini mission: “We design and develop Italian, extreme, uncompromising cars whose purpose is to be a constant motive of pride for our customers.” The .LAMBORGHINI top-level domain has the PURPOSE to support the goals of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. in becoming the number one luxury and exclusive sports car brand worldwide through continuous growth as well as superior customer experience and innovative and highly emotional products. Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. hereby states that according to Specification 9 Para. 6 in the New gTLD Agreement (i) all domain names in the .LAMBORGHINI top-level domain will be registered to, and maintained by, Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. for its own exclusive use, (ii) Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. will not sell, distribute or transfer control or use of any registrations in the .LAMBORGHINI top-level domain to any third party that is not an Affiliate of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., and (iii) the application of the Code of Conduct to the .LAMBORGHINI top-level domain is not necessary to protect the public interest. |
